Microsoft Teams Voice – Service Description

Tranquil IT provides planning, deployment and migration services of voice services from existing, traditional, on-premises PSTN services to Microsoft Teams, allowing users to access the functionality of a traditional desk phone from any Microsoft Teams compatible device, from any internet connected location.  Tranquil IT can provide Microsoft Teams voice enablement using an existing telecom provider (if enabled for direct routing) or by using our preferred partner Hero Internet Ltd.

Planning and Consultation 

We use a proven approach to plan deployments that support the near, mid, and long-term business needs of your organisation. We work with you to understand your current voice functionality, how these are meeting your current requirements and develop a deployment plan highlighting not only how to replicate existing functionality with Microsoft Teams Voice but also how to benefit from functionality previously unavailable with your existing PSTN system.  Planning services include:

  • Telecom Partnering, Number Porting & Billing
  • Microsoft Licensing requirements, procurement, and assignment
  • Voice Routing Policies
  • Calling Policies

We also provide advice and guidance as a trusted design authority.

Deployment and Migration

Deployment methods vary depending on the supplier of voice services, however, as Tranquil IT’s focus is always on providing a positive end user experience, we use proven deployment methodologies to ensure quick and seamless enablement of the Microsoft Teams Voice service.   This allows us to migrate services and users in a phased approach, or if required, migrate all services and users all at once.  With a robust foundation, increasing scale or enabling business process automation is easily achievable. 

Project Management 

We can provide certified Project Management to manage the scope, budget, risks, issues, dependencies, decision and schedule during the delivery and deployment of Microsoft 365 services. 

Change Management 

Within our Change Management services we provide change strategy preparation, communications & training strategies, and change manager resourcing and project consulting.  We work with clients to devise a comprehensive change strategy and delivery plan built around a methodology of helping staff clearly understand the change that is about to occur. From this, we develop and lead a complete change programme – planning the change process, creating a communications strategy along with establishing clear and consistent messages, as well as preparing a Training and Education Strategy.
