Migrating your phone system to Microsoft Teams can be a lot of work, with a lot of your people having to move from using their old desk phone to a softphone, or having to purchase new Microsoft Teams compatible phones.  However, with Tranquil IT’s Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) Twinning feature, we’ve made it so you can continue to use your existing SIP compatible desk phones AND migrate to Microsoft Teams too.

With Tranquil’s SIP Twinning feature, migrating to Microsoft Teams voice doesn’t have to be a swap out, users can now simply have an additional communications option for voice calls.

And best of all, you don’t need any additional infrastructure, the phone connects directly to our phone platform.  And when your users are comfortable moving fully to Microsoft Teams, just unplug the desk phone.

In the video below you’ll see a call being made to my Microsoft Teams DDI.  This call rings on my Cisco 6921 desk phone, my desktop phone (headset) and my mobile phone…it’s a lot of ringing.
